first build

i'm wanting to try doing my first build pretty soon and wanted you guys input on waht i have picke out. i'm not going to be overclocking or gaming, just want to try building. figured while i'm at it, may as well make something better than my current pc. this is what i have picked so far.

coolermaster rc-690 case--http://www.newegg.com/Product/Produc...82E16811119137
asrock p43 twins 1600 mobo--http://www.newegg.com/Product/Produc...82E16813157130
core 2 duo e7200--http://www.newegg.com/Product/Produc...82E16819115052
kingston hyper-x---http://www.newegg.com/Product/Produc...82E16820104008
i already have monitors, 2 dvd drives, and 550 watt psu. these will be pulled out of my current system and i will put the oem stuff back in. also have nvidia graphics card that will be reused too. any and all input and recommendations appreciated. also have wd 500gb sata drive that will be reused.

First off your links are not showing anything, second waht is you overall budget for this partial build? Next what brand of psu are you reusing? finally what type of video care is it? If it is not pcie you won't be able to use it in with your current mb selection.

psu is bfg brand, gs series. card is pci express. i think 85oo but don't feel like opening case to make sure right now. it is definitely pci-e though. wanna stay under 600, not counting os. i'll probably stick with vista home premium.

Not really a fan of that memory or mb.

Look at these:

Ram: http://www.newegg.com/Product/Produc...82E16820145590

And for a good quality mb: http://www.newegg.com/Product/Produc...82E16813131295

Are your dvd drives, and hard drives ide or sata? You might want to look into getting sata drives.

Also, if that board is too much, then look at this one: http://www.newegg.com/Product/Produc...82E16813131278

hd drives are sata. dvd drives are not, but i just use them for watching movies and burning stuff. won't bother with sata for dvd drives until i get a chance to do blu-ray, which will probably be a long while from now. like the boards, didn't see those before. thanks
