First build, i don't have much knowledge on hardware and such

Hello forums,
I wanted to get a new computer but looking at much information on the internet seems to be a much bteer idea to build it myself but I'm not sure what parts to get. I play games like world of warcraft, some fps games and i will be getting red alert 3 and things along those lines. I'll be using my monitor / speakers / keyboard / mouse.

My budget is around 1300-1600 and i live in canada so getting parts from the US should not be a problem.

So I need a new case and evrything that goes inside could someone enlighten me on what i should get for great performance and visuals. I'll probably get windows vista 64bit and Intel processor and 4gb of memory but I just want to be sure everything is compatible.

Thank you for your time

As a start:

Mother board: Asus P5Q
CPU: E8400
Ram: Corsair 2x2gb ddr2-800
D: Seagate 7200.11 500gb sata
DVD: Lite-on dvd burner sata retail
video: 4850
PSU: Corsair 650

You can price that out, and see what it comes out to from canadian vendors. And then get a case that you like.

So with that I'm guessing I've got everything I need to build my new computer but I still got a couple of questions.

Is this all I need to build it? I'm using my monitor, speakers, mouse and keyboard and my wireless internet antenna.
Is all this hardware compatible with one another?
Did I miss any key component to building my tower?

Thanx in advance for your time.

Just as an example, get this ram instead: http://www.newegg.com/Product/Produc...82E16820145184 It should be cheaper.

If you want onboard wifi, look at the p5k-e/wifi. Otherwise, the p5q that you picked is good.
