Building a "new" PC

I've got an old micro ATX eMachines case and power supply that I want to put new components in. Right now its running a Celeron D, 256MB of RAM, a CD Burner, and a hard drive.
The hard drive is IDE. I want to put in these, and keep the hard drive:

CPU: AMD Athlon 64 X2 5000+
Motherboard: BIOSTAR NF61S-M2 TE AM2
Memory: A-DATA 2GB (2 x 1GB) 240-Pin DDR2 800
DVD Burner: LITE-ON 20X DVD±R DVD Burner

Will I have any problems with the power supply or using the old hard drive while getting this to work?

EDIT: The power supply is a 300 Watt supply that came with the eMachines. It was an eMachines T3990 if that helps at all

You should be okay with the upgrade as is, however, I would recommend a larger PSU if you deside to add a Graphics Card. Underpower will cause shut downs and lock ups. These problems are usually hard to troubleshoot when you don't have error messages, so keep this in mind. Also, I have spotted that you may need a cable to supply the Sata burner with its power. A Molex to Sata power adapter, Here is a link to help:

$179.00 for all new parts - Nice Budget. One question , are you doing any gaming if so I would look at intel processors. Here is a good PowerSupply

Keep in mind when using new parts you always want a new power supply. Iv burned up about 3 , 4 systems using old power supplys , somehow old ones may not Agree with new parts.

Thanks for the help. I think I'll take your advice on getting a new power supply. I was thinking of putting my old 7600GT in, so I'll probably need one.

Ok, got the parts today, set it up, and when I try to start Windows, I get a BSOD for a tenth of a second, and then the computer restarts. I've done the out of case build, and started Windows in safe mode. No BSOD there. Can someone please help me figure out what is wrong?

EDIT: I did put in the 7600GT. Could that be the problem? Maybe the power supply isn't enough? But I checked EVGA's website and they said that the minimum requirement was 350 Watts.

Good job on the PSU. That one will be MUCH better than the stock eMachine's. I had an eMachine's pc a few years ago that the PSU blew on and took the motherboard with it. I don't trust them. Did you reinstall Windows? Also, did you make sure and update the drivers for the new hardware you put in?
