Help! New build freezes..Must reset cmos?
I just built a computer tonight using a gigabyte p-35 mobo, intel q6600, evga 9800 GTX ssc edition and a 750gb seagate barracuda hd in an apevia case....I started it up for the first time and it asked me for a boot disk so I inserted an old windows xp bootable disk from a different computer (could this have cause the problem?), then I turned it off, went and did something for 10 minutes and then when I came back it would not boot past "Verifying DMI Pool Data..." screen and I have tried restarting cmos using the clear jumper (I am using a red and black cap for it that is meant for HDD because i have no other jumper)...but that did not seem to work either. All parts are new, any insight as to why it won't pass "Verifying DMI Pool Data?" thanks.

Don't forget your PSU. It will help others to help you diagnose this problem without using a crystal ball.
