Hi gang
This question is not about a new build but an old build. Did not kow exacetly know where to put this so I picked here. Have a computer with a Asus MOBO P4PE BP. The case it is in has a couple of USB ports on the front of the case. Now My wife wants to use a built in card reader, but the MOBO only has one USB plug in. Now is there a device/adapter that you can buy to make a single USB connection on the board into a double. I know some card readers have USB ports on them this one don't. I have to unplug the front USB port connection to use the card reader. Any way around this. ? Thanx....Gunny

There are USB PCI cards available, but those only give you rear USB ports. I'm not sure if they provide onboard USB or not.
The other option is an external USB card reader. Some of them are quite small and can easily be stuck under or to the side of your monitor.

I just put a Syba pci card into my build when the on-board usb quit for good.
It's got external usb ports and 1 internal. What I've never seen, however, is a card for internal hook ups only. I would follow Force's advice and get your wife a usb multi-card reader.
