Which CPU
OK I figured I could fork out an extra $10-$15 on a CPU. I currently have this CPU:
Current CPU I was wondering is it worth it to upgrade to this CPU: New CPU Also which is a cheaper build Intel or AMD? If AMD is cheaper can you still build a pretty good gaming rig with a $500 building budget? Last edited by GenTrapstar; 09-10-2008 at 12:01 AM. |

e5200 has a little bit more cache and is 300MHz faster. if you already own an e2220 then there is no point upgrading to an e5200, however if you are in the middle of deciding which one to buy then go with an e5200, since it is only about ~$10 more. AMD CPUs are not competitive with Intel CPUs price-wise/performace-wise nowadays unless AMD drops the prices again.
