PC for PS3

I want to purchase or build a PC to be used exclusively for PS3, that is screaming fast. No browsers, no email, etc. Only software that is PS3 related. It will need a safe and efficient backup system as well as the fastest CD/DVD burner. Can someone please help me part out my dream machine. Thanks.

Got a budget? Does it need to include a monitor, keyboard, mouse, operating system, printer, scanner, etc.? How much data storage space do you need?

I am assuming that "PS3" is referring to Photoshop CS3?

I put in dual burners and 3 hard drives. The 500gb is for your OS and apps, one of the 1tb is for data, and the other 1tb is for the Apricorn housing and the Acronis software for your backup system.

I speced a very fast dual core processor, if you want a quad you can certainly substitute. A Q9550 would add $140 to the bill.

Hi Thom, that list really doesn't need editing, despite a few months of time passing. We are still recommending The Asus P5Q and the E8500 CPU for builds today.
