2.5K limit gaming PC

So I'll be helping a friend of mine build his first PC. I haven't built one in about a year so I'm a little rusty with all the latest and greatest. I've been doing some research over the past few weeks and this is what I've come up with.

GPU ATI 4870x2 - $550

Mobo Asus P5Q -$139

Case Lian Li PC7BYCF - $110

TV Tuner - Hauppauge WinTV-HVR 1800 - $120

CPU C2D E8500 - $190

RAM - OCZ 4GB - $65

DVD-RW

HDD - WD Caviar Black $170

Monitor Samsung 24" -$430

PSU Corsair 750tx - $130

Thats about it, this is going to be a gaming rig first, plus all the usual DVD, MP3 web surfing playback. Let me know what you think, any tips suggestions, and/or replacement parts are welcome.
Anything I left out, just ask!

Also, this list is a public wishlist at newegg under the name benson

If you're willing to spend 20 bucks more, go with the antec 900 case. http://www.newegg.com/Product/Produc...pk=antec%20900
Also, for about the same price as your 1 TB you can get a 160 GB velociraptor HDD.

It holds less but it's a lot faster. If the PC is mainly for gaming then I doubt you will use 1 TB.

150GB won't go very far, and most games won't benefit from the velociraptor as its main advantage is access time which only helps reading many small files. That WD Caviar Black should be about the same in raw speed.

I am going to have to agree with liambl, I have heard too many stories about the raptors not performing any faster than a quality 32MB cache hard drive.
I have brought up the antec 900 case before, and since this is not for me, it is really subjective. I liked the one I listed b/c of the 250mm fan, which should push a lot of air and still be fairly quiet.

If anyone has any other thoughts feel free to chime in

I recently used 2 antec 300's, and like them.
