Worked great now its slow

Hey guys new issue happen. When I built my bro's computer it work great (still works great) but after adding HDD and ripping stuff out of it onto the new HDD and than removing the old HDD I notice when I boot up the computer the bios takes 15-30 sec until it goes to the windows start up. The only info I can lend out is that everything is ribbon no sata. My frist set up was one ribbon onto the cd drive other onto the HDD. After installing windows after 3 days now I decided to store my bros old stuff onto his new computer. So I disconnected the rib from the cd onto the old HDD. After that I disconnected that and added another old HDD that was dying and turns out that it doesn't work anymore. So after I turned the computer off I disconnect the broken HDD and just left the computer the way it was with the new HDD and one of the ribbon being unhooked, (Didn't hooked up to the cd drive because its to far to reach it after installing the new hdd correctly.) (buying sata cddrive) so what could of happen?

I got a little lost from your post, but it sounds like you might have to check how you have your drives jumpered, and also check the bios to see what drive is listed as the primary boot drive.

lol never mind guys I figured out the problem, I had the jumper set to master/with slave present. I didn't have a slave present. so I had to remove the jumper completely and it ran fast.

Case solve. =)
