Fan-CPU-Mobo compatibility
Does your motherboard/cpu have to be compatible with your Fan? I bought an arctic freezer pro 7 which says it goes with an intel box, however my cpu is amd (and thus my mobo). I don't have a stock cooler. Do i need a new heatsink? It doesn't seem to fit...
If so it's a shame I didn't notice, and that nobody else noticed when i posted my build up here. Thanks. |

You need the Freezer 64 Pro for the AMD CPU.

my processor is an AMD 64 x2, so that cooler will definitely work, right? Can i pick one up at a place like best buy? Thanks!

Don't think bestbuy sells heatsinks.
You will probably need a store that is more computer friendly.
