Argg need help!

I started connecting my new system. I'm using a 500w antec psu and it shows a 8 pin EATX connection on the mobo. However, all I have is a 4 pin connector. It fits on one side fine but like i said it's 4 pins not 8...do I need a new PSU?

How many square 4 pin connectors does that PSU have? And how many power connections does that motherboard have?

The power supply has 1 - 4-pin ATX 12v connection. I'm connecting to a ASUS P5Q Pro MLB that needs a 8-pin ATX 12v connection..will just the 4-pin fly?

I wouldn't try it...but what does the motherboard manual say? Can you just use one 4 pin 12v connector and leave the other half empty?

What exact model Antec PSU are you using?
