I wouldn't get an open box motherboard.

I won't comment on amd.

If you want 4gb, get a 2x2gb pack. Look at corsair, g.skill, a-data or crucial.

Get a sata dvd drive.

The power supply that comes with that case isn't good. Get a better quality one: What Power Supply should I get? How many Watts? Who made it? Guide Inside

For a hard drive, you minght want to look at the seagate 7200.11 500gb sata drives.

That mother board takes ddr3 memory. It's not really worth it.

If you go intel, look at this motherboard: Asus P5Q

It will as long as it has bios 1003.

And I believe they should be shipping with a bios version above that, so you're good to go with that cpu and motherboard.

Sweet. Now for memory and video card. I noticed in the specifications something about an ATI video card, does that mean anything? And what am i looking for video card wise? PCI express 2.0?

Are you a heavy gamer? What games are you looking to play?

Right now, the best bang for buck is probably the 4850, and then the 4870.
