HDD: Go for the newer version of that drive http://www.newegg.com/Product/Produc...82E16822148298

CPU: Save a bunch of $ and go for the E8500 http://www.newegg.com/Product/Produc...5036&Tpk=e8500 The E8600 is still priced too high for the small performance gain over the E8500

No need for the vga cooler...your video card already has one on it.

Motherboard: Do you plan on going SLI (dual video cards)? Most here would not recommend it. If you don't want to do SLI then there is no need for that motherboard. Instead go for a P45 chipset board such as one of these http://www.newegg.com/Product/Produc...Intel%20ICH10R

Also you inserted wrong link for memory. Try looking for some DDR2 800 by Corsair, Mushkin, G.Skill or Kingston. If your going to be using XP then go for 2GB minimum (2x 1GB modules) or 4GB minimum (2x 2GB modules) if using Vista.

I would probably go for at least a 500-600w power supply

Yes your parts will fit into that ATX case

Go for a burner instead of just a reader/player. That way you can create music CD's, burn files to DVD and such. http://www.newegg.com/Product/Produc...82E16827106265
