Motherboard problem
so i ordered a all the components for my new computer and i hooked it all up fine and all the stuff is working but only when the motherboard is out of the case when i try to put it back in the case everything will turn on for about half a second and then just go back off if anyone can tell whats going on it would be very appreciated because im kinda new at all this stuff and i just wanna figure out whats wrong

Make sure that only the standoffs that are needed are installed on the motherboard mounting tray...any stray ones should be removed. The necessary ones line up to the mounting holes in the motherboard (the holes with the metal rings around them, not the bare holes).

I'm having the exact same problem expect i haven't tried turning on the comp with the mobo outside the case. I'm only using the stand offs required, any other suggestion?

melopeat, you might want to start you own thread. make sure you include all your parts, make and model. Also include everything you have tried so far.
