pc diagnostics
Hey all,
First off, I apologize if this isn't in the right category. I wasn't quite sure where it should be. Anyway, I'm sure that many of you have found yourself in my position before. I loved building my pc and keeping it running efficiently. My family and friends know this and frequently come to me with their pc problems. I also love being able to help and fix these problems. I now find myself needing to bring a couple of these pc's home with me to work on problems that will take more time. Of course, one of these uses dial-up and I use broadband. Okay, finally, the question, can you guys tell me what type of equipment or hardware that I need to be able to temporarily connect a dial-up pc to broadband and/or anything else that you "repair ppl" think I might need extra. I'm pretty sure I need to have a router and maybe a nic card for those that aren't equipped with one. Thanks in advance, you all have never let me down! Frasher |

I wouldn't install a card, I would use a usb device like this: http://www.newegg.com/Product/Produc...82E16833124122
You will probably want a router, and then you can keep your computer connected, and connect other computers as well.
