my pc keeps crashing! please help!

i built a desktop using the following hardware: amd athlon 64x2 2.4 duel core processor, gigabyte s series mother board, nvidia 9600 vid card, 4 gigs g skill ram, and vista home premium 64 bit version. everything works great except for when i play games, and then it crashes, and this has been happening since day one. i built this for gaming, so this is a really big deal. the 2 games i ahve installed and tried to play are call of duty 4, and company of heroes. they both act exactly the same: anywhere from 5-15 mintutes into actual gameplay, my pc crashes and reboots itself. i have formatted, reinstalled vista, reinstalled mb and vid card drivers, and i really dont know what else to do. i have tried 2 dvd rom drives, thinking one wasnt installing right, but it continues. it never crashes, other then playing these games. i am not real sure where to post this, so i posted here, considering it is only happening when gaming, so maybe its my video card...? thanks for any info! i really apprciate it!

How are the temps normally? How are the temps under full load?

Try running the games with the sides of the case off and a house fan blowing into it and see if it still crashes.

Do you have the newest drivers for the video card installed?

I would run memtest to check your Ram.

I had a similar issue with this build originally which turned out to be dodgy ram. Replaced the offending stick and all was well.

A 650 what?
That doesn't tell us anything about your power supply.
Noticed that you are running 4 gigs of G.SKILL RAM.
Have you set the modules to their required timings and voltage?
Just a couple of items to check there.
Might want to check and be sure that your CPU cooler is properly installed too.

Games themselves can cause crashes also. I experienced games crashing when I was playing games on my PC years ago. The ultimate way to game is with a console.
