First time build. Suggestions, advice?
this will be my first time building a pc, so im entirely lost as too which components will work with what
this computer will be for gaming. my budget is $2500 and id like to keep everything from newegg, rather than have to buy from a number of different places i use a 32 inch tv, but its res cant go over 1360x768, which i heard gtx260s in sli wont show too much improvement, but id like for this computer to take any game i throw at it and play it maxed out with ease, i do plan on doing some overclocking once i have the computer stable and im looking for just a computer build, i dont need any speakers keyboard or mouse any suggestions would be great help, i have a few lists made up, but id like to get some recommendations from people who have more experience with this than i do and again any help is appreciated |

I don't use water cooling. Don't really think it's worth it. People have oc'd intel dual cores pretty high on air cooling. Plus water and electronics don't mix.
I would just get a really good heatsink. http://www.thermalright.com/new_a_pa...50aHVzaWFzdA== |

I agree with shadowpr.
Typically the price paid for water cooling components could be better spent in purchasing better hardware. A good air cool heatsink would provide plenty of overclocking. There are even some air coolers that can compete with water cooled counterparts. The IFX-14 by thermaltake is regarded as one of the best air coolers on the market now. Just dont forget to buy a fan with it. |
