Mid Level Gaming / Work System

Hey I am looking to build a gaming / work PC (excel, word, publisher) and would like some help in deciding what I should look at purchasing to build provide a good stable system.

The games that will be played on this are more Simulations – like Command and Conquer, etc. Will also be used for music, video editing, web surfing TV / Movie watching.
I already already a great Altec Lansing USB Sound System, 22inch Monitor - Samsung, Keyboard and MouseI also have Vista Operation System (32 bit) and Office 2007.

Money to spend 1,2000 – 1,800 (if needed)
[LIST][*]Case:[*]CP ( have always had AMD however – have heard that Intel newer ones are better?):[*]Motherboard (have an Asus in another system and it works okay)[*]DVD / CD player and Writer [*]Ram[*]HDD (Would like at least two 500 gb)[*]Video Card (do I need two?) [*]CPU Fan[*]Power Supply [*]Would like an extra card for USB’s[*]TV Tuner would be great as well

]Thanks Geoff
