Time to upgrade?

Hey everyone,

I built my very first PC back in December of 07 with the huge help of you guys. Well, now I am coming to a point where I think it might be time for some small upgrades just so it doesn't get too far out of date to fix.

Right now my specs:

Asus P5k-E
Corsair 2x1gb of ram
EVGA G92 8800GT
Intel E6750
Corsair 520w PSU
I am running 32 bit Vista

So, my problem I think is my RAM, whenever I play COD4 for example I am using about 90% of my available RAM. I really don't know if that is normal or not, but I can't seem to make it any better.

I am confused on how the 32 bit of Vista works now though. Can it or can it not see all 4 gigs or is it still stuck at 3.2 or whatever it was before that one update?

So, what would you guys recommend me to upgrade? If anything, if you think it is fine as is, and just wait a little longer or whatever. I'm open to ideas!

A newer video card will help with gaming performance. Do you have the newest drivers installed for the current card?

In order for the OS to detect more than the 3.2 to 4.0 (varies depending on the memory module I believe)... you will need to upgrade to the 64-bit version of the OS.

Uh, 8800GT is MORE than enough for something like COD 4. 90% ram in Vista when playing it is about right. Why not just put 4GB in it? Even though it won't address all 4GB, it will be a lot better than just 2GB, and you won't have to buy a new OS.

Agree. Just get more ram if you want to upgrade.

Only way I would upgrade my video card is if it's not performing well with the games I play.

I don't game at all.

A new video card was just a suggestion for gaming in general.
