Hi, I'm considering this build and advice or changes is much appreciated. I checked the MSI website and it lists 1600 DDR3 is supported but on newegg its 1333 DDR3 standard so will it support it? Thanks

I would get a triple channel kit: http://www.newegg.com/Product/Produc...nd&Order=PRICE

I can't really suggest one since it's still new technology. I know that the i7 mb were having trouble with some ram and the voltages.

You could also probably drop the psu down a bit. 750 would be overkill for that setup.

Only other thoughts would be that I would probably go with a proven technology of the core 2 duo.

But if you do go i7, then post back with your thoughts on it.

Ok I did change the PSU and ordered different memory. Well I am coming up from a Intel Core 2 Duo, the i7 is incredibly fast. I installed Vista X64 and it runs so smooth windows pop up instantly in about a second. The CPU runs cool around 37%, I don't have any case fans installed aswell. Since this has hyper threading it shows 8 Cores in Device Manager. So far no problems first boot up worked flawless. The bottle neck I see is the hard drive at 7200rpm.
