Can someone please help? I'm not sure about this part

I have an
Intel Core 2 Duo 3.0GHZ
Asus p5kpl-cm mobo
250 GB IDE HDD
Samsung SATA DvD Drive

But i have 1 GB of RAM. I do not play any games, just use it for basic office/school use.
Should I use 2GB? I need to know if i should buy this extra stick thats on sale

BTW its OCZ 800MHZ DDR2!

My own two cents--with the low price of memory, coupled with the nice deals going on this holiday season, I'd say why not?

As long as you've got a free memory slot, and you can afford another stick (they're so cheap), go for it. Less hassle down the road if you end up using your computer for more. *shrug*

A lot depends on your OS. Running vista? 2GB is the minimum recommended unless you want to disable a lot of the features. Running XP...1GB is okay, but I agree that the more RAM is the merrier.
