Nvidia chipsets tend not to be as reliable as Intel chipsets, so I would take look at getting a different motherboard, the p45 chipset is one of the highest preforming for the 775 socket. Rosewill power supplies are of poor quality, take a look at getting a good quality power supply from a manufacturer such as Antec, Corsair or FSP, you will only need about 500W.

Regarding Vista 64-bit, it would make sense to get that operating system if you use specific 64-bit only applications and if you get a computer with 4GB or more, however I would say that you'll find XP 32-bit to work more reliably and faster than Vista and I doubt you have specific need for Vista.

If you plan on gaming, I would go with Vista, solely for DX10 and the soon to be DX11, and if you are going Vista, might as well go 64.

Gaming on Vista is a decent bit slower than gaming on XP, and the 9600GT will struggle with playing DirectX 10 games (even the high end video cards struggle with playing Directx10).

well i was thinking about this board to - but i know i will have more than one card in close future /month xD/ so i'll be sticking to a nvidia chipset. so as for nvidia motherboard - the one I picked - is it any good? :/

i knew Rosewill was to good to be true...
http://www.newegg.com/Product/Produc...82E16817341002

this was my first pick. OCZ GameXStream OCZ700GXSSLI 700W. inexpensive with M.I.R....
or
http://www.newegg.com/Product/Produc...82E16817341010
also inexpensive... OCZ StealthXStream OCZ600SXS 600W

OS. well i like xp a lot. did go through a lot on it xD - so i think i'll be dual booting my machine. and 64bit might be usefull - cause i'll be using PS CS3 a lot during summer/ram-wise still waiting for ps to be 64bit.... :| / ... but we'll see...

There aren't that many games out that support DX10 is there? I believe overall gaming would be better on XP than Vista.

I would use XP until Windows 7 comes out until next holiday season. If you wanna use Vista than go ahead. I know people who use it, not sure if it's 32-bit or 64-bit but they use Vista nonetheless. I would only use Vista if I had a great system to support it.
