Computer powers on, but no video

Hello all I have recently built a new computer. The first motherboard I had I put everything together- the processor, fans, hard drives, dvd rom drives, video cards, pci cards. The motherboard and everything seems to power on fine, however I have no video whatsoever. I have tried two different video cards and still no luck! I have also gotten a replacement of the motherboard and still no luck. The problem is the person I am buying to board from says that the boards are used and they have no way of testing so its up to the buyer (gotta love ebay). The second board I just plugged in the power to the board and the video card, nothing else, then powered it up. Still no video. I only have two cords coming from my case. Its a SW power and SW reset? I think thats the correct too. Could that have anything to do with it? I can give specs and all that if it seems necessary? Thanks!

Try this: PROBLEMS with a NEW BUILD? Try This!!

And if you still have problems, then please list all parts, make and model, including power supply.

The Power switch is evidently correct since the unit starts up.

What are your system specifications?

Do you have known working compatible memory/cpu/video card installed? Are they installed properly?

Thanks for all the help! I got everything working. I had not put in my CPU which I am guessing didn't complete the circuit or something so I was not getting any video. Thanks everyone!

You can't run a computer without a CPU.
