$1000 Core i7 Gaming Build
I've heard a lot of people saying that Core i7 is too expensive to use in a mid-range build, so I thought I would put together a parts list for a fast mid-range computer using Core i7 and good quality parts. Here is what I have so far (no OS):

How come there is no difference in performance between dual and triple channel ram with the i7?

Some possible reasons include that software has not been developed for triple channel and that the large cache of the core i7 processors is reducing the need for more bandwidth provided by going from dual to triple channel.
