Can't boot from CD

I installed Windows Vista Ultimate x64 on my new computer I built. I tried putting in Ubuntu disk (that i've used many times over) and it didn't work... I put in my vista disk, it didn't work, i tried by windows xp disk (that i know works i've used it many times) that doesn't work... It gives me a GDLDR and goes into vista...

Any help would be much appreciated!

You have the optical drive set as the FIRST boot device in the BIOS setup?

Do you have another partition that you could install the other OS on?
