Compatibility Issues???

Hey Everyone, I built my gaming rig but I am having some issues:

- No video signal is being received from the monitor; not able to use it...

Here is what I think might be making it this way:

- Motherboard has no video, so I have graphics card installed and setup; incompatibility? I think this one is less likely since the motherboard is a gaming one...

- Motherboard and RAM not working together??? Could this cause no video???
Motherboard, Memory Standard DDR2 1333: http://www.newegg.com/Product/Produc...82E16813128358

DDR2 800 (PC2 6400) 2 x 2GB: http://www.newegg.com/Product/Produc...82E16820145184

PLEASE HELP ME OUT!

For reference here is the rest of my system setup:
Core 2 Duo 3.0ghz
500GB Hitachi HDD
LG CD/DVD+_RW Optical Drive
PNY 9800GTX gaming graphics card

What power supply?

If that video card requires a power connection, did you connect it?

Try this: PROBLEMS with a NEW BUILD? Try This!!

thanks for the reply.

Power Supply is 700w and new, connecting, working fine--cant be the issue. I have connected it to the GPU, so thats fine; also tried a different graphics card that doesnt need power supply and no video...

Thinking its RAM compatibility with Motherboard, can someone confirm this?

That ram should work fine.

What brand power supply. Just cause it's 700w doesn't mean it's quality.

Have you followed the procedure in that link yet?

Do you have the CPU heatsink/fan installed as it should be?

OK I will try and add some more info. that will be helpful.

I tried the instructions and no use. (THANKS SO MUCH, it was way painful as well)

Im really not sure what the problem is...

But judging by what has happended, Im thinking either an issue with RAM, Motherboard, CPU (possibly fried???)

I noticed in the link you gave me it said attach the two power connectors to the motherboard; 8 pin and 24 pin (right?). I have the 24 attached with makes the comp turn on, but what about the 8 pin (12volt) connector?
ANY HELP would be SOO APPRECIATED

Many new motherboards have upped the CPU power connection from 4 to 8. whether you have a 4 or 8 pin CPU connector to the mobo, it has to be connected for the PC to work.

Your graphics card needs: Two 6-pin supplementary power connectors.
With the card is installed: the two connectors will be facing you toward the back of the card.

PROBLEM FIXED!!!

Didnt think the Mobo needed two power connections...the CPU needed the four pin (at least).

Thanks to everyone, computer is up and running!
