Help with my first build :D
Hello everybody from Caracas-Venezuela
, this is my fist time here, i would like to build up a new pc for games. My budget is 800-1000 USD. I would like it to be an Intel computer.I did this with my clanmates at our forums, but i want to be sure.( they told me that it would work without any problems) Here's the list: -PSU ( Power Supply Unit) -Thermaltake W0129RU Purepower 600W ATX 2.0 Power Supply with Active PFC http://www.amazon.com/Thermaltake-W0...NJII1G/ref=sr_ 1_15?ie=UTF8&s=electronics&qid=1229470488&sr=1-15 HDD ( Hard Drive) -Seagate Barracuda 7200.10 ST3250410AS 250GB 7200 RPM 16MB Cache SATA 3.0Gb/s Hard Drive - OEM http://www.newegg.com/Product/Produc...82E16822148262 Memory RAM -CORSAIR XMS2 DHX 4GB (2 x 2GB) 240-Pin DDR2 SDRAM DDR2 800 (PC2 6400) Dual Channel Kit Desktop Memory http://www.newegg.com/Product/Produc...82E16820145194 CPU ( Procesor) -Intel Core 2 Duo E8400 Wolfdale 3.0GHz 6MB L2 Cache LGA 775 65W Dual-Core Processor http://www.newegg.com/Product/Produc...82E16819115037 Motherboard -ASUS P5QL PRO LGA 775 Intel P43 ATX Intel Motherboard http://www.newegg.com/Product/Produc...82E16813131329 I have read that the FAN that comes with the procesor is not good, so i would like to get this one: -Zalman CNPS9700LED Ultra Quiet Cpu Cooler http://www.amazon.com/Zalman-CNPS970...9539728&sr=1-1 And to keep the procesor a little bit cooler, i would like to use this: -Arctic Silver 5 Thermal Compound, 3.5 Grams http://www.amazon.com/Arctic-Silver-...d_bxgy_e_img_b AS for the video card, i would like to get a GTX 260 from XFX http://www.newegg.com/Product/Produc...82E16814150329 I just want to know if all the parts that i put above are going to work together without any problems. Thanks, Luis |

It would be to your advantage to purchase items from one location. NewEgg is a great place to deal with.
Go with this PSU: http://www.newegg.com/Product/Produc...82E16817139005 Go with this memory: http://www.newegg.com/Product/Produc...82E16820145184 You will also need a optical drive: http://www.newegg.com/Product/Produc...82E16827106263 And spend 10 bucks more and grab the 500GB hdd instead: http://www.newegg.com/Product/Produc...82E16822148288 And since you are gaming... you will want a decent video card as well. And stick with the stock heatsink/fan that comes with the processor to avoid violating the warranty on the CPU. |

Luis.
Minsonngo is right about sourcing all your parts in one place, should you have any problems it makes dealing with it a lot easier. Neweggs prices are very good, BUT, their international delivery charges are outrageous. I live in Puerto Rico and they want to charge me the equivilent of sending stuff to Outer Mongolia. If you can, have the stuff shipped to a relative or friend in the states and then get them to ship it to you. Whilst you source what retailer can give you the best deal make sure you check their delivery charges.
