How to know if they fits????
All the sites tell you what to buy, I need to know what to look for if they'll fit or compatible together? Any sticky?

You need to go to the motherboard website and look for their compatibility guides to the specific motherboard. Some manufactures are better than others, I think Foxconn has the best guides but not necessarily the best boards... although I have had very good luck with them.

First decision..Intel or AMD. What are you going to use the PC for and do you have a budget in mind?
Shop around and find a MOBO that fits your needs and someone here can help you with the CPU & RAM. I would suggest looking at the ASUS MOBO's. |

What I did was read the forum here and found a few threads on builds that were close to what I was after. Once you see what other people are using that's close to your needs, then you can start looking at specifics. I'll be doing my first build in a couple weeks and wouldn't have known where to begin if not for the help here. Once you have an idea of the parts you'd like, post a thread in the format they give here Want advice on a new build? Read this before posting! and people will let you know if everything is good to go.
