So if anyone remembers my name...my former thread was about the kerosene and the pc
![]() Anywho so Ive been testing everything known to man. I have my board and all laid out on its cardboard box hooked up with the bare minimum. Ok so between me talking to EVGA and doing my own investigative work I came up with this.. (both the board which is 780i and the Card which s 9800gx2 are evga) Got the led readout on the board showing 7f which is waiting for user input, figured the board and cpu were ok, checked 4 sticks of ram and 3 cables for the monitor. Finally I had decided it was the 9800gx2 and took it to my friends to test on his pc..plugged it in and went red beeped nothing worked. Ok so card must be dead..he had the same type of card and his works right off... Took it home, set it back into the slot one last time to see what the led would show if the card was on its red lights....bios pops on the monitor...argh I cant tell you how many times this card set in the same spot and did not work...unless little cobbler elves snuck into the office in my house and fixed it while I slept then this was random and weird or the card just needed to feel like a punk because its twin worked and it didnt... Any ideas on why this would work? Im just curious if I should be worrying about keeping an eye on this card for a possible future RMA later down the road... Thanks guys! |
