More upgrades needed

Well I just recently bought a 4850 video card as well as a 650 watt psu. Then the card wouldnt fit in my case so I bought an antec 900 gaming case.

I have been doing some reading and it turns out that the other components in my 3 year old rig arent going to cut it for gaming. (pentium D 830, 2gb ddr2 533mhz ram etc etc)

I am thinking about just doing a complete upgrade while its apart.

would this do the trick?

Also....I was thinking of just doing a fresh install of a new OS while I am at it. Should I go with the vista home premium 64 bit? like this?

how will this set up run a new fps at high settings? should be solid right?

do I need anything else? got a decent 22 inch lcd coming also.

thanks for the help

that would be quite a jump in performance from the 830. Could still get a big performance increase by going with an Asus P5Q mobo/Intel E8500 CPU/DDR2 800 ram for about half the cost.
Would get parts from Newegg, better customer service.

Well I know how fast computer stuff goes outdated so I figured I would go with more than I need at the moment.

IS the vista 64 ok? any compatibility issues here with my computer parts or Os etc etc?

I can still use my old dvdrw drives and hard drive correct?

sorry for the ignorance im a newb

64 Bit Vista is fine.
You can still use your old drives.
Go with Newegg. Reliable customer service and probably better prices.

Your CPU link is to the Motherboard instead of the PSU. I would suggest looking at Asus boards.
