Question New PC: Parts

I'm looking to build a new PC. I already have the motherboard in my possession (Xmas gift) and looking to order the rest soon, but would like other opinions:

Mobo: Asus M3A AM2+ (already have it)
http://www.asus.com/products.aspx?l1...34&modelmenu=1

CPU: AMD Phenom X4 9950 125W (Will standard fan be enough? I'm not looking to overclock) $164.99

RAM: CORSAIR XMS2 4GB ( 2 X 2GB ) PC2-6400 800MHz $53.99

HDD: Western Digital SATA 500 Gb $58.80

Optical: Lite-ON IHAS220-08 SuperAllwrite SATA w/ Lightscribe $29.99

Sound: On-board

Video: EVGA GeForce 8500 GT Video Card - 1GB GDDR2, PCI Express $74.99

LAN: On-board (possibly wireless card later)

PSU: Corsair TX650W 650-Watt Power Supply - ATX $89.99

Case: Power Up Standard ATX Black Mid-Tower Case - Front USB $19.99

I have keyboard, mouse, and monitor. I'm mostly concerned about the PSU having enough juice. I am wanting to dabble in video editing, but I'll get a bigger HD later if my dabbling picks up. I want to keep the cost as low as possible (right now about $500), but if it's worth a few extra bucks for something better then I'm up for it. I'm looking on Amazon.com and Tigerdirect.com primarily for parts.

Any thoughts would be great! Hope everyone's had a great holiday season!

Stock cooling is adequate so stick with that.

Everything else looks good.

Power supply is more than needed for your current build.

Depending on what kind of video editing you are planning on doing, you may or may not want to upgrade your graphics card.

I would look at upgrading the video card to an ATI 4780 they are about 149 now (Saphire is a good brand).

Check your RAM. The mobo you have listed requires DDR2 1066 not DDR2 800. I tried looking at some cheaper G.SKILL RAM but for some reason it is listed as only working with intel chipsets (sounds a bit off to me but that is the reason I did not suggest it someone can jump in and clarify that for me.)

The MOBO specs say it accepts DDR2 1066, 800, 667, 533 so the Corsair PC6400 should be fine.
