MOBO: http://www.newegg.com/Product/Produc...82E16813128075
Case:http://www.dabs.com/productview.aspx...0051&InMerch=1 If these are the MOBO and Case you are referring to.......That MOBO will not fit in that case. |

I would steer away from that board... case is not right as not important pointed out. Very nice case but for micro atx boards, the board you chose is a atx.

I got the DS3H version of that board and had a NIGHTMARE trying to find compatible RAM. I use this board which has the 790GX chipset.
http://www.newegg.com/Product/Produc...82E16813131331 When it comes to cases, and computers in general, get something bigger than what you need and you can upgrade into. I would suggest a Seagate 500gig 32meg cache hard drive. if you are putting in a Phenom why DDR2 800? use 1066. and get a 4850 or 4870 GPU.

Wow
Well thanks for the prompt replies i ddint realise so many people would respond to me but thanks guys.
To answer a few of your questions: Ill be probably using this machine for gaming, making music via reason 4.0, watching movies, video editing and surfing the web. I have vista 32 and 64 bit, home and ultimate, XP with sp2 pro, so OS' isnt a problem. To be honest pretty much every one of these components i picked for what i thought was good performance per £££ (on paper of cource) I wasnt aware that i needed a diff case so il change the one i picked to an ATX instead of a micro atx, the Mobo "phigdon" mentioned i will be taking a look at, and lets say i DO pick the one he mentioned and i pick a compatible ATX case, oh and the diff gpu which "phigdon" also mentioned, would there be any other conflicts between the components, from what you can see?? Or would that be too hard to tell ?? Again thank you all for your prompt responses i really appreciate it, and thanks in advance to anyone who responds to this mail too. P.S phigdon?? what is the difference between an 800 and a 1066? (in short) is the 1066 just quicker?? dlads. |

The 1066 is 1066MHz(wll run at 533MHz " ") |
