new pc problems

Hey guys i recently built a new pc, everything worked fine. Until I decided to add a sound card and graphic card. So I reopen the case and I noticed that i needed to reposition the motherboard so that the add on cards would reach the screw hole correctly ... did that and added the cards. Closed the case and powered the computer up nothing happens but the fans and the monitor is blinking green. Can anyone help me out.

I would start by going back to this point. Remove both cards and be sure you can boot safely. Then add one card at a time.

i tried connecting the motherboard, power supply, a stick of ram and the monitor out of the case. And it powered up with no problem but still no display and still get the continuous beeping.

Sounds like a RAM problem. Try a different stick of RAM and be certain it is seated fully. You might try clearing the CMOS.
Some hardware specs might be helpful also.

Everything is running fine now, I believe I shorted out my MoBo when i didn't ground you correctly to the case. Luckily i had another one on hand, first time building a PC its been a great learning experience.

If the MOBO is shorted is most likely happened when the standoffs weren't properly installed.
