First time builder, feelin' pretty murderous
...haha not really but a little direction would be fantastic. So I just got everything inside the case and all hooked up, an arduous process for me as my case has terrible cable management.
Anyways, power on, all fans/leds light up--except my CPU Heatsink Fan. Its plugged into the correct slot on the mobo (CPU_FAN). However, still not spinning. When I power-on it jerks for a split second then nothing. So, I'm not getting any output on my monitor (Tried several monitors so that's out). Video card seems to be in working order. All in all I think its CPU oriented, but I have no idea how to resolve this or narrow my problem down. My PC: http://secure.newegg.com/WishList/Pu...umber=12030828 Ignore the dual GPU's. Bought two and later found out I have a non-sli mobo. Thanks, its been a long day =/ <---discouraged pc builder |

Have you tried this?
Following those instructions you can determine whether the case is the problem or some hardware is faulty. Also, taking everything out and putting it back it might be beneficial for your cable management as you have a better idea of where things will land now. Have you installed all the possible standoffs? |
