Hello, im currently training to take the cisco comptiaA+ certification and also am in need of a new gaming computer...so i figure why not try to build one right?
Now.... as far as i can tell everything looks like it should work out allright but i still would like to get some feedback from some other people. Okay heres what i got so far..... -Antec Twelve Hundred Black Steel ATX Full Tower Computer Case http://www.newegg.com/Product/Produc...82E16811129043 - ASUS M3A79-T Deluxe AM2+/AM2 AMD 790FX ATX AMD Motherboard http://www.newegg.com/Product/Produc...82E16813131339 - AMD Phenom II X4 940 Deneb 3.0GHz 4 x 512KB L2 Cache 6MB L3 Cache Socket AM2+ 125W Quad-Core Black Edition Processor http://www.newegg.com/Product/Produc...82E16819103471 - OCZ Reaper HPC 4GB (2 x 2GB) 240-Pin DDR2 SDRAM DDR2 1066 (PC2 8500) Dual Channel Kit Desktop Memory Model OCZ2RPR10664GK http://www.newegg.com/Product/Produc...82E16820227289 - SAMSUNG SpinPoint T Series HD501LJ 500GB 7200 RPM 16MB Cache SATA 3.0Gb/s http://www.newegg.com/Product/Produc...82E16822152052 - RAIDMAX RX-850SS 850W ATX12V 2.2V / EPS12V 2.91 SLI Ready CrossFire Ready Modular Active PFC Modular LED Power Supply http://www.newegg.com/Product/Produc...82E16817152034 - SAPPHIRE 100259-1GL Radeon HD 4870 1GB 256-bit GDDR5 PCI Express 2.0 x16 HDCP Ready CrossFire Supported Video Card http://www.newegg.com/Product/Produc...82E16814102801 Microsoft Windows Vista Ultimate SP1 http://www.newegg.com/Product/Produc...82E16832116473 (Not that it really needs a link XD ) Thats the main jist of the machine, a few more bits and peices of dvd-burnes and what not, Now i was gonna max it out with 8Gigs of that ram, and hopefully two of those hard drives on a mobo raid 0. Currently im only putting one of the graphics cards in it though possibly more in the future....not entirely sure but i might have to upgrade the power supply for more of them. Lastly, its getting vista... i like vista, never gave me any problems, on my current computer.... an HP pavillion dv9000, the only problem i have is some overheating ussues.... lol Feedback on anything would be reaaaaaly, highly appreciated!

A few suggestions.
The antec 1200 isn't really necessary for that build. The 900 would work. Change that samsung hd for a western digital black drive. Change that raidmax psu for a quality one: What Power Supply should I get? How many Watts? Who made it? Guide Inside If you want modular, get the corsair 620 And I personally feel that vista ultimate isn't necessary. Look at home premium instead. But either way, get oem instead of retail. Will save you money. If you're thinking of more ram, get vista 64. Most people are more than good with 4gb though. I don't really do amd cpu's and motherboards, so I'll let others comment there.

Premium has 64 bit.
Premium 64 is available in OEM.

The biggest difference is that the retail comes with a pretty box and manual.

OEM (Original Equipment Manufacturer) You don't get the fancy package or MS support and you don't need either of them.
