Question Dual Boot

Hi gang

Ok I have Windows 7 on one HD and XP on the other HD, a dual boot set up. Now how can you change to what HD it will go to first if I just turn my computer on and walk away. As it is now it boots up to my Windows 7 HD, and I would like it to go to my XP HD.

Thanx....Gunny

I hope that is not your every day computer. You should never put a beta copy on your everyday machine, you are asking for trouble. I hope you got all your files backed up from xp. I only put betas on a test PC or in my case, my linux box.

I have the same setup (XO one one HDD and 7 on the another HDD) and I'm using this. It is VERY simple to install and use.You have to choose what OS to boot each time you start the PC though.

So if I am understanding this you all are saying you cannot change what will boot up first, if left unattended. So you no matter what will have to designate which one every time you boot up.?

Deb--- no this is on a spare computer I have.

Thanx....Gunny

What we're saying is that you can specify which you want it to 'default to'. In other words, if you want to turn on your computer and walk away, and have it boot to XP, you can choose that option.

Hi cadlewv

Ok just to make things so we are seeing eye to eye here, this does the same effect as if you had to dual boot a single HD or if you have 2 HD's. Like I said I have XP on one HD and Windows 7 on another HD. So this program works the same way, with either set up.? Am I correct in assuming this.

Thanx...Gunny
