!st Build

I'm ready to try and build my own. Price range 1000-1500. I would like this to be an all-around pc. little gaming(railroad tycoon, simms ect... Defintily want a intel processer and also need for it to run Quiet(very important}. I have a case I'd like to use Lian Li sps 6100. This is the main pc in the house. I have the os Vista home premium. Would like a good vidio card. The $$$ is flexible if it goes up it's ok. Don't need monitor.keyboard,mouse,speakers. Just hope its as easy as you guys & girls make it out to be. Thanks Bub38:

Do you have the case already, or is the Lian Li the case you want to buy? For a really quiet computer, it's best to get a case with sound dampening foam such as the NZXT Hush or the CoolerMaster Cosmos 1000. If you are going with the Lian Li, I would take a look at getting a sound dampening kit for the case. Here is a good build list for around $1100 (I'm assuming you already have the case; if not there should be enough room in the budget for a good one):

The 750W isn't that much more and will leave more headroom. The 750W also has quieter cooling since it uses a 140mm fan versus the 650W which uses a 120mm fan.

22x is the fastest DVD burn speed currently available; the DVD burner will also burn music to cds pretty rapidly. The only reason you might want a second DVD burner is if you want to copy music from one CD directly to a second. The parts in the list above will be more than good enough to play any game that is currently out at very good settings. I would take a look at the CoolerMaster Cosmos 1000 for case as it has lots of room for parts, has sound dampening material, and has 4 USB 2.0, 1 Firewire, 1 eSATA and headphone/mic jacks in the front panel. Here is the link to it: http://www.newegg.com/Product/Produc...82E16811119138
I've update the list above to include the case as well.

Typically that happens because of a short; it's happened to me many times before. Try this to see if it's a short: PROBLEMS with a NEW BUILD? Try This!!
