Power on....power off....power on...power off...

I built a new system for a friend today and Im have troubles with it. First, here is the system:

Mobo: Gigabyte GA-EX58-UD3R
http://www.newegg.com/Product/Produc...82E16813128375

CPU: Intel Core i7 920

Ram: 3x2gig Crucial DDR3 1066
http://www.newegg.com/Product/Produc...82E16820148246

Vid Card: Sapphire Radeon 4670
http://www.newegg.com/Product/Produc...82E16814102792

PSU: Corsair 650w
http://www.newegg.com/Product/Produc...82E16817139005

HD: 500gig Seagate Barracuda 7200.12
LG DVD burner

It will also be running Vista home premium 64bit but I haven't gotten that far.

This is not my 1st build but Im stuck with this one. I put everything together, and as far as I can tell its all together correctly, and hit the power button. When I hit the button, they system powers on for about 3 seconds, then shuts off, then powers on for about 3 seconds, then shuts off. It continuously did this until the power was cut off. So I then took out all but 1 stick of ram and put it in slot 1 - same problem. I then put it in the next lower slot. This time it powered up, shut off, powered up and stayed powered, however, it never posted and there were NO beeps from the MB and no signal to the monitor. I also tried the "try this first" sticky post. Any one have any Ideas? My only thought is that the MB's Ram standard is DDR3 1333 and the RAM they got is DDR3 1066. Could this be the problem?

I think you found the problem with the ram. The first review on Newegg says that ram isn't compatable with the Gigabyte X58 mobos.

Go here:http://www.gigabyte-usa.com/Products...ProductID=2991
There is a Memory Support List in the right hand column.
