Help Installing Windows Vista OS

Well, so far the build is loading and working!

Anyways, I am now trying to install the OS and it is asking where I want to install Windows. There are no options for me to select from the list of drives. It does however give me the option to load a device driver.

Question is, is it not detecting my harddrive or something? Is this device driver the CD that came with my motherboard? I am kinda of confused, and I dont want to eject the install OS disk to put in the mobo disk if thats not right, then screw up the install. How do I fix this?

Thanks!

Specs? Make and model of all parts.

Is the hard drive recognized in bios?

Wow, sorry, cant believe I forgot to add that in...
and the hard drive is detected in BIOS... at least I think. When in BIOS, it said that in SATA it had listed 1 device. However, it listed SATA 1-6. There are 6 regular ones and 2 meant for the HD. Now I am thinking I screwed up and just assumed that the harddrive was detected. How do I go back and check? I never received a message saying harddrive not detected or anything.

Restart the computer, and try pressing del when it starts to enter bios.

Make sure it recognizes the hard drive.

Also, is it listed as ide, achi, or raid?

Thanks for your assistance, but I figured it out! Turns out the hard drive was NOT being detected, and I did actually get a msg saying so, it just popped by too quick for me to see the first time. Easy fix though - I had the SATA cable in the wrong port!

Thanks again!
