Help

Well I put everything together started the computer and started installing vista home 64 and right at the end when it was completing install the mouse stopped responding and the progress bar didnt move at all. I restarted the computer but now it wont continue install, it just keeps trying to load windows then says that i need to restart and complete install. Everytime i try to restart it does the same thing.... Help! lol

Please list all parts, make and model, including power supply.

You might have to do a zero fill of the hard drive to start fresh and install windows again.

well i just got online, I figured everything out. I formated the HDD and changed the boot priorities.

Working great right now. Im liking the windows vista home 64. I get McAfee Security Suite for free with my ISP. Is there anything else i need maintenence wise to keep my new computer running like this?

Many of use recommend not using mcafee at all.

We would recommend:

CCleaner
SpywareBlaster
S&D Spybot
Malwarebytes

And one of the following:
Avast
Avira
AVG

why do you not recommend mcafee? Its free with my ISP are those other ones free?

Everything I suggested is free.

Mcafee isn't recommended because it's bloated and uses more resources then necessary. I believe some have found it also can cause problems for other programs sometimes.
