Help me build a high end PC

Hey first time poster here. Anyways I'll be my first time building a PC though I'll be getting help from my uncle putting the parts in. There's a few things I'm not sure of like the right power cord and the right case.

Sony Optiarc Black 22X DVD+R
http://www.newegg.com/Product/Produc...82E16827118022
$21.99

Western Digital Caviar Black WD6401AALS 640GB 7200 RPM SATA 3.0Gb/s Hard Drive

$69.99

SAPPHIRE 100259-1GL Radeon HD 4870 1GB 256-bit GDDR5 PCI Express 2.0 x16 HDCP Ready CrossFire Supported Video Card

$224.99

CORSAIR CMPSU-750TX 750W ATX12V / EPS12V SLI Ready CrossFire Ready 80 PLUS Certified Active PFC Compatible with Core i7 Power Supply

$119.99

CORSAIR XMS3 DHX 4GB (2 x 2GB) 240-Pin DDR3 SDRAM DDR3 1600 (PC3 12800)
http://www.newegg.com/Product/Produc...82E16820145200
$104

GIGABYTE GA-EX58-UD4P LGA 1366 Intel X58 ATX Intel Motherboard
http://www.newegg.com/Product/Produc...82E16813128374
$270

Intel Core i7 920 Nehalem 2.66GHz LGA 1366 130W Quad-Core Processor Model BX80601920
http://www.newegg.com/Product/Produc...82E16819115202
$289.99

Rosewill R5604-TBK 0.8mm Japanese Cold Rolled Steel Screw-less Dual 120mm Fans ATX Mid Tower Computer Case
http://www.newegg.com/Product/Produc...82E16811147033
$59.99

Total: $1,114.93

So is this a good build any compatibility issues? Anything else you would recommend because it would be cheaper and better? Would the 750w Power supply be enough? If it matters I plan on adding another 4870 1GB Crossfire graphics card later on. Would also like to hear a good recommendation for a case.

Thanks to anyone who helps me out here.

Thats a solid list, I can't see any issues.

Yes that TX750 will handle another 4870 down the road.

A lot of people like this case, myself included. Good ventilation and good looks and a good price.

I have an Antec 300, and really like it - it's a cool and roomy case (for me, I have an HD4670 - may want to confirm one or two HD4870s will fit in!) and well put together. Looks clean, and has the case usb and audio ports on the _front_ of the case, which I prefer to other cases with these ports on top, or on the side of the case.

Just to note that the Antec 300 doesn't have a front firewire port. The case in your build list and the other lian case do have this, if this is a consideration for you.

Other thing to note is that the Antec 300 doesn't have an external 3.5" bay, but they do offer a separate adapter which may add a few meagre $ to the bill.

Do you have the money for a 4870X2?
If so, you could always get one of them.

Also, I assume you have an O.S?

If not I like Vista Home Premium, and so do most others around here:

I would get different ram. Get either a 3x1gb or 3x2gb pack instead.

I would also recommend a different dvd drive. Lite-on, Asus, and LG are popular recommendations here.

The antec 300 is a great case. If you want bigger, look at the 900 as well. (I personally prefer the 300, but I will never use more than one video card.)

And don't forget the OS.

Any good 2.1 PC speakers anyone would recommend. I also plan on using them for the PS3 when I get my new HP w2558hc 25-inch monitor.

I have a set of these and I am extremely happy with them. I paid 130.00 and have never looked back for what it's worth. There are better out there but for dollar value, these are very nice.

Alright thanks.

BTW forgot I'm gonna need to buy cables for the Harddrive and the CD/DVD Drive, so which one should I get on newegg? Too many to choose nor do I know the right ones to get for the HDD and CD/DVD drives.

Edit: Would something like this be fine?

http://www.tigerdirect.com/applicati...64908&csid=_25

I'll need to buy two of those for the HDD and CD/DVD Drive.

The cables for data should come with the motherboard(SATA CABLES)
The power cables should come with the Power Supply.
