Power supply confusion

Hello,

I am a first-time poster, and a first time computer builder. I'm pretty comfortable in choosing all of the components for the build, except the power supply

I can't, for the life of me, figure out what "form factor" power supply I need: an ATX, ATX 12v, EPS, microATX, etc.? And then what versino of the form factors I would need

I would be using this motherboard

GIGABYTE GA-MA74GM-S2 AM2+/AM2 AMD 740G Micro ATX AMD Motherboard - Retail

http://www.newegg.com/Product/Produc...82E16813128342

Also, if it matters, I would be using an ATX form factor case.

Any help would be much appreciated.

Welcome to PCMech.

Any ATX12V is going to work. I can't tell you what wattage to use without a full spec list, but check out which brands to buy and avoid here: What Power Supply should I get? How many Watts? Who made it? Guide Inside

You will need an ATX 2.x unit with a 24 pin or 20+4 pin main connector.
