Power Supply Necessity?
Well I am looking to piece together a new new PC and trying to decide if I need to upgrade my PSU. I currently have a CORSAIR CMPSU-620HX.
I was curious if I needed to upgrade to another PSU if I put this hardware together... Western Digital Caviar Black WD1001FALS 1TB 7200 RPM SATA 3.0Gb/s Hard Drive - OEM EVGA 132-BL-E758-TR LGA 1366 Intel X58 ATX Intel Motherboard - Retail EVGA 01G-P3-1285-AR GeForce GTX 285 SC Edition 1GB 512-bit GDDR3 PCI Express 2.0 x16 HDCP Ready SLI Supported Video Card - Retail Intel Core i7 920 Nehalem 2.66GHz LGA 1366 130W Quad-Core Processor Model BX80601920 2 - CORSAIR DOMINATOR 6GB (3 x 2GB) 240-Pin DDR3 SDRAM DDR3 1600 (PC3 12800) Triple Channel Kit Desktop Memory Model TR3X6G1600C8D - Retail Pioneer 20X DVD±R DVD Burner with LightScribe Black IDE Model DVR-1910LS - Retail Well Besides those there may be another internal harddrive... Well anyone think I need to upgrade the the Corsair 1000HX would be necessary? |

According to nVidia's site you will need at least 550W to run that card so you should be ok with that power supply.
