Upgrading Motherboard

I'm about to build the rig that's in my sig. My case will hold 10 HDDs and the mobo I currently have only supports 4. I plan on upgrading to the P5Q at a later date and I was wondering, besides updating the BIOS what will I need to do? I will already have the OS and Drivers on the 80GB HDD that I currently own, can I just plug everything thing up and go with it? I assume it's no going to be that easy.

Edit: Sorry this might need to go in the motherboard forum.

Windows will have to be reinstalled if you change the motherboard.
