Gaming Build under $1500 - Need Advice

Hi,
im still revising my new rig..
but still trying to keep it under $1500

this is what i think i am going to go for:
CPU: Intel Core 2 Duo E8500 3.16GHz should i be looking for a cpu cooler?
Motherboard:Gigabyte EP45-UD3P Still unsure........... need help
because i want to overclock the E8500 and later on crossfire the HD 4870's
Ram: 4GB (2x2GB) Corsair XMS2 DDR2-800 PC2-6400 Memory $18
HDD: Western Digital Elements 640GB USB 2.0 External Hard Drive
GPU: HIS Hightech H487FN1GP Radeon HD 4870 1GB 256-bit GDDR5 PCI Express 2.0 x16 HDCP Ready CrossFire Supported Video Card
Optical Drive: Pioneer DVR-2910 20x
Case: still not too sure but got suggested the Coolermaster RC 690......... need help need a good gaming case with good ventilation.
PSU:CORSAIR HX620W
Keyborad and mouse: Logitech Internet 1500 Cordless Laser Desktop $10

I am open to your suggestions.

Pretty good list.

That CPU is the 'Retail' version and there will be a heatsink/fan in the box.

You want to pick up an internal hard drive, not an external. Western Digital Black drives are best.

Don't forget a copy of Windows.

That's a very nice case.

As good as that PSU is, it's not certified for even one of those cards, much less 2.
