What is your budget?
Does that include monitor, keyboard, mouse? Do you also need an operating system in that budget?

Would look for a better quailty PSU than the Powermax. Look at something in the Corsair,Antec, PC Power&Cooling. Comparable size PSU from the companies I mention will be about double the cost but the PSU is an area not to cheap out in.
Lite-On, LG and Asus DVDs are good units and all about the same price. Get a retail package, it should come with the DVD burning SW.

Definitely take a look at a different power supply; coolmax power supplies are of low quality. For your build a good 500W (or higher) power supply would work fine. If you want to cut the cost a bit and still have the same performance, take a look at getting the Athlon 64 X2 7750: http://www.newegg.com/Product/Produc...82E16819103300
and HD4830: http://www.newegg.com/Product/Produc...82E16814102822 Instead of the Athlon 64 X2 6000+ and the 9800GT.

AMD Phenom II 920
Foxconn 780V 4GB DDR2-800 WD Caviar 500GB HDD moderately cheap case 550w Tuniq 80 Plus PSU powercolor Radeon 4830 It's about $560, a little over your budget but great bang for the buck. The 4830 is about equal to a little bit faster than a 9800GT. Yes, the case is cheapo but I think it will be fine...should have decent airflow. Oh, and the PSU has a $40 mail-in rebate and the video card has a $15 mail-in rebate, with the rebates it's around $505. A good Samsung, LG, or Lite-On DVD burner will suffice. We avoid recommending Samsung optical drives due to past history of unreliability.
