I believe I saw in other threads that the 750 gb WD black was only 5 dollars more, so its quite a bit of a better deal.

Asus motherboard will save you a lot of hassle in the future.
Go with a bigger, better power supply like a Corsair, Sea Sonic or FSP 650W. you can't skim and worry about free shipping when it comes to power supplies. Standard CPU coolers work best and you won't lose your original 3 year warranty.
Great processor choice, Jdorty is right spend $5 more and get the 750GB, if you want. Corsair Ram is much better than Muskin, look into those.
Otherwise you are good to go.

Does that look better?

And then thank you for showing me the upgraded HD (and the tip about the cooling fan), I'll definitely get that.

I've been looking at Asus boards before someone recomended the Gigabyte to me, and would be happy getting a better one, but I just have no idea which one to get. Any suggestions?

As for the power supply, I just get confused by picking one. I'm not sure like what the requirements are and stuff, so any specific suggestions?

Thank you

I have purchased 2 Gigabyte mobos for my own systems and I can i haven't had a problem with either. My friend also had a gigabyte mobo w/o any problems.

I have no personal experience with ASUS but they are name brand when it comes to motherboards. Your more than likely fine whichever you choose.

I have had great experience with the Asus P5Q P5Q Pro, P5Q Deluxe, and P5Q Turbo, the P5Q Pro is the same price as that Gigabyte you are looking at.
Gigabyte work really well, problem is if they fail as all motherboards have a chance to fail even Asus, you will have a much easier time getting it replaced with Asus than any other brand. All it takes is a phone call.
Asus pretty much leads the way and everyone follows, kinda like the Mercedes Benz of motherboards.
