Get rid of that Xion. You can't use a Gateway recovery disk.

Do you plan on using 4 Video cards? If not that motherboard is over kill. I am using one to build my first farming rig and even though I think it is a solid motherboard, the company themselves leave little to be desired when it comes to tech support and RMA. I highly recommend you go with an Asus motherboard.
Power Supply all you need is a Corsair 650W to run this rig, as GLC suggested dump that Xion it more than likely wont last a month.

If you want to run two 4870x2's, buy only a certified PSU.
http://game.amd.com/us-en/crossfire_...ied.aspx?cat=3 You have to click on "Details" on each one and see if it supports 2 cards. The Antec that Khalil linked does. So does a Corsair TX750. http://www.newegg.com/Product/Produc...82E16817139006 |

My friend told me that i am waisting money on getting DDR3 memory and should just go with DDR2 because he said they do the same thing at the same rate.He also told me to get AMD Phenom II X4 940 Deneb 3.0GHz and overclock it and it will run better than the AMD Phenom II X4 955 Black Edition and i would save a total of 200 dollars.

It is a good idea to go with the 940 and save $200 but it is not better, for the money though your friend is right the 940 is the way to go.

If you want DDR2 you will need a different motherboard.
