Help, Basic home media build under $550

I'm looking to build a basic home media computer and this will be my first build.
My budget is under $550 for just a box build; no keybord/monitor/etc.
I will also need an OS for this build, as all my previous have been brick and mortar buys with me adding stuff.

I already have a 5 port USB that I will be reusing on this build and a DVD burner.

I do some basic home photo editing and some home video editing for movies, and copy DVD's that I own for trips, so we the kids don't mess the orginals up. My children have several iPods they download music to. We do have multiple Xbox 360's and it would be nice to be able to link them to this computer for music, pics, and etc.

Don't game anymore and don't plan on doing that again (waaay too much time spent) and I don't care about any great sound system for the computer as my cheap speakers system will do (that's what my home stereo is for).
