Multi-media only PC
My wife wants a 300 CD disc changer for her birthday. I have convinced her that instead of spending the money on a CD player, I could build a PC that would allow us to connect to the amplifier and play digital music (and rip the CDs).
What I am looking for:
I do not intend to use this machine for anything but playing DVDs (eventually Blueray), playing digital music, and playing digital video content, so there is no need to have more power than is necessary to achieve this. If possible, I would like to use a keyboard/mouse combo from across the room as a "remote control". Please correct me if I am wrong, but I do not believe that regular wireless keyboards and mice would be able to reach the 15 feet (5m) required. Is there a way I could use bluetooth or extension cables to achieve this? Any ideas are appreciated. I would appreciate recommendations on
Thank you for any advice. |
